To create a new page
Method 1
Create a link to a new page using a standard syntax. If you create a link to an article that doesn't exist, the link will be coloured red. Click on the red link to edit the new page.
Method 2
Or, use the URL. You can use the wiki's URL for creating a new page. The URL to an article is something like this:
http://www.bchistoryonline.com/wiki/ARTICLE
If you replace ARTICLE with the name of the page you wish to create, you will be taken to a blank page which indicates that no article of that name exists yet. Clicking the "Edit" page tab at the top of the page will take you to the edit page for that article, where you can create the new page by typing your text, and clicking submit.
To use an image
The following file formats are supported
- .jpg or .jpeg : bitmap image compressed in the standard JPEG format.
- .png : bitmap image in the Portable Network Graphics format.
- .gif : bitmap image in the legacy Graphics Interchange Format.
The full syntax for displaying an image is:
[[File:filename.extension|options|caption]]
For example: [[File:example.jpg|caption]] will get displayed as
